Why reinvent the wheel?
Come study leather craft with me, Will DePass. As a passionate full-time leather craftsman for the past 8 years, I have picked up a trick or two and I would like to share them with you.
I strive to continually learn, improve, and incorporate new techniques through training with others myself - I am not one to stagnate.
For the past few years, I have been traveling to Japan to study with some truly amazing leather craftsmen. These trips have slingshotted my skills years ahead of what they would be had I taken the self-taught route.
Whether you want to learn how to make classic saddle-stitched leather goods using only simple hand tools, super high end hand stitched goods incorporating a variety of machinery and advanced techniques, or how to crank out runs of private label goods on the sewing machine, I will be happy to teach you. I feel very comfortable making items from mild to wild in quantities from one to one hundred. Just let me know what you would like to work on and I can accomodate you. I have a fully decked out shop with the latest and greatest machines as well as the best hand tools from around the world.
Please reach out via email to discuss lessons and availability. Classes are $350 per day. Groups up to 3 can be accommodated. In that case, it would be a rate of $350 plus $175 per additional person.
